Enter classes attended, total classes held, and your required attendance percentage (commonly 75%). If you're already above target, it works out the most classes you can still miss; if you're below, it works out how many classes you need to attend next to get there.
It finds the largest number of additional classes (counted only toward the total, not toward attended) you can miss while your attendance stays at or above the target — solved directly from attended ÷ (total + missed) ≥ target%.
It assumes you attend every one of the next classes (each one counts toward both attended and total), and finds the smallest number needed to bring your percentage up to the target — solved from (attended + n) ÷ (total + n) ≥ target%.
If you're already below 100%, no number of future classes can mathematically reach exactly 100% by attending alone, since every future class also adds to the total — the calculator flags this instead of showing a misleading number.
